Three Ingredient Nutella Brownies

Three ingredient Nutella brownies

The world needs more brownies. Especially brownies like these, that are cheap, fast, and super easy to make. Seeking out three- and four-ingredient recipes is a brilliant idea if you’re looking to save money on food. There are entire websites and cookbooks devoted to this concept.

The Cost

Nutella isn’t super cheap – about $3.50 for a 13-ounce jar – but this recipe is. Each mini-brownie costs about 15 cents, or $1.80 for the whole batch. That’s nothing when you consider you’re about to bite into the most amazing dessert ever (ok, I’m exaggerating a bit, but they are certainly delicious). They are also amazing because they’re so easy and fast to make. Two minutes to mix up, 12 minutes to bake, and you’re ready for dessert.

Three Ingredient Nutella Brownies

Yield: 12 mini brownies

Prep Time: 2 minutes

Cook Time: 10 to 12 minutes

This recipe makes 12 mini brownies (see photo above). For the topping, I microwaved one tablespoon of Nutella with 1/4 teaspoon of butter for a few seconds, mixed, and drizzled over the brownies.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Nutella
5 tablespoons flour
1 egg, beaten

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease the bottoms and sides of a mini-muffin pan.
In a small mixing bowl, combine Nutella, flour, and beaten egg. Spoon the brownie batter evenly into 12 individual muffin slots. Sprinkle with nuts before baking, if desired.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Where have these been all my life? I made them this morning and not only are the super easy, they are SO tasty! I was making the pumpkin cookies at the same time, so I topped the brownies with a bit of the cream cheese frosting. Heaven!!

These look great! I’ve been looking everywhere for a brownie recipe with just a few ingredients. One question.. how much is a ‘cup’ of nutella? I don’t want them to be too sickly or anything?
