Sauteed grape and goat cheese dip, from Cheap Recipe Blog

Everyone needs a go-to party appetizer recipe that can be prepared at the very last minute. This is mine.

A couple of years ago, I attended a cookbook signing event hosted by Michael Natkin, author of Herbivoracious. He made a dip similar to this, and it had a room full of bloggers and food writers raving.

I left inspired, wanting to recreate this dish with a cheap recipe twist. I made a few tweaks and came up with a less expensive but still delicious dip that I have made for many parties since then.

The best part? It literally takes just a minute or two to throw together.
