Homemade gifts are generally inexpensive and always thoughtful.

And homemade gifts do not have to be hard to make or cost a lot. Case in point, this skin balm that smells AMAZING. Like a lemon cookie, but without the sugar.

About The Ingredients

You’ll need just 3 ingredients to make this lemon skin balm: Coconut oil, beeswax, and lemon essential oil. Here’s where to find them:
  • Coconut oil – Available at any grocery store (I buy mine at Trader Joe’s)
  • Beeswax – A package of beeswax generally costs around $10. You can purchase at Whole Foods, natural food co-ops, craft stores, and online. The benefit of buying it at the food co-op in the bulk section is that you can buy just the amount you need.
  • Lemon essential oil – Available at Whole Foods, natural food co-ops or online.

The good news is that once you buy the beeswax and lemon oil, you can use these items to make other homemade skin and household products. All in all, a small container of lemon skin balm costs right around 25 cents to make. Lemon skin balm makes a great gift. 3 ingredients. Smells awesome. Repin to save.

  • After exfoliating with this gingerbread sugar scrub or lemon sugar scrub
This balm contains no questionable or unpronounceable ingredients, and is perfect for people on your gift list who like beauty products and/or natural products.
