I grew up eating all sorts of different hotdish recipes made with love by my mom and grandma.

Hotdishes were the main attraction of church potlucks. From tater tot hotdish to hamburger noodle hotdish to funeral hotdish (yes, it’s a thing), I have tried them all!

As an adult, I appreciate hotdishes even more than I did back then. Why? They’re easy to make, they feed a crowd, and there are so many different variations.

About The Recipe: Chicken Broccoli Hotdish

This hotdish contains all of the good stuff: Chicken, pasta, broccoli, and a creamy sauce with a hint of sweetness thanks to Dorothy Lynch Dressing & Condiment.

I like using this dressing in cooking because it adds great flavor without any extra work! I like adding it to all sorts of savory dishes, and It’s available for purchase in Walmart, Hy-Vee, and online.

Chicken Broccoli Hotdish

This hearty chicken broccoli hotdish recipe feeds 8 people.

Ingredients

  • 16-ounce package elbow macaroni
  • 16-ounce package frozen broccoli florets
  • 26-ounce can cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup Dorothy Lynch Dressing & Condiment
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 grilled chicken breast, cut into small pieces
  • 6 ounces French fried onions

Instructions

    1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta
      and cook until al dente. Add frozen broccoli florets to the pasta during the
      last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain and rinse with cold water and place pasta and
      broccoli in a large mixing bowl.
    2. Add chicken soup, Dorothy Lynch Dressing & Condiment,
      soy sauce, garlic powder, salt and pepper, cheddar cheese, onion, and chicken
      breast. Place in a large casserole dish. Top with French fried onions.             
    3. Heat oven to 350F. Bake for 45 minutes.
