Make-Ahead Instructions
This cheese ball is a wonderful make-ahead dessert – and it’s actually better when made the day before, allowing the flavors to meld together in the fridge. Simply wrap your shaped cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate up to 24 hours in advance.
Hold off on decorating until right before serving so the toppings stay bright and fresh. Pull it out of the fridge about 20 minutes before serving to let it soften slightly for easier spreading.

There are lots of great dippers that taste great with this red, white and blue dessert cheeseball.
My favorite: Anna’s Swedish Thins. They’re thin, crunchy, and have a good bite to them.
If you can find them: Star-shaped crackers.
Runners up: Graham crackers, shortbread cookies, pretzels, Nilla Wafers, apple segments.
