Cheap ingredients
I’m going to let you in on a little secret: Cheap cooking starts with cheap ingredient.
For example, when you choose budget-friendly food items like potatoes, corn, frozen vegetables, eggs, ground beef or oats as the base of a meal or recipe, the end result it going to be a dish that’s very budget-friendly.
My favorite place to get cheap groceries is ALDI. Their prices can’t be beat! Whenever possible, I stock up on pantry staples and the bulk of my groceries at ALDI.
But there are other options for getting cheap ingredients. Trader Joe’s has a lot of great deals. And Whole Foods has become a lot more affordable. And don’t forget Walmart and Target. And of course, local grocery chains often have a lot of great sales.
This is a great place to start if you’re looking to save money on groceries.
