Minnesota State Fair-Inspired Recipes
The Minnesota State Fair is the most anticipated food event in Minnesota. It takes place every August for 10 days, leading up to Labor Day.
There is so much great food to eat at the Minnesota State Fair: Pronto pups, corn dogs, roasted sweet corn, Sweet Martha’s Cookies, fried green tomatoes, fried pickles, tipsy pies, fried cheese curds, everything you can imagine served on a stick – and SO much more.
These recipes are copycat recipes of some of my favorite Minnesota State Fair foods.
The copycat State Fair cookies are my take on Sweet Martha’s Cookies. They’re bite-sized, best served warm, and chock full of chocolate chips.
The corn fritters are amazing fried pieces of dough, served with maple butter. At the fair, they’re served with honey butter. Either way, they’re amazing.
And the fried candy bars are just an over-the-top fair food. The fair is full of these types of foods.
