It doesn’t get much easier than this little nosh: Frozen grapes and chocolate are served on a plate a or charcuterie board. Your guests will love grazing, ideally with a drink in hand, over good conversation.Frozen chocolate and grapes, the perfect cheap summer dessert

This post isn’t so much a recipe as it is a cheap and easy summer dessert idea.

If you are looking for an effortless and low-cost dessert for your next summer get-together, this is all you need:

  1. Frozen grapes – Freeze the grapes for at least two hours before serving
  2. Chocolate – Include a variety to please all palates
  3. Sangria slushies – Or red wine or another summery drink

I can’t explain why, but there is something about a shared plate of food that makes any get-together a little more fun and interactive.

The dynamic changes just a little bit when food is shared more intimately. This is a dessert to be enjoyed over drinks and conversation, not one to be scarfed down.

I discovered this idea on Jamie Oliver’s website. He suggests serving with grappa, which is made with leftover grape skins and stems. I tried it, and it was a little strong for me. I recommend white wine.
