Last-Minute Party? Here’s Your Game Plan.
Spontaneous parties are sometimes the more fun. But when you’re getting last-minute guests and wondering what to serve them, you need a game plan. Here it is:
- Take a look at the recipe ideas, above. Consider choosing two of these ideas – bonus points if you have all the ingredients on hand for one of the recipes.
- If time allows, make a quick trip to the grocery store or convenience store near you. Check out the deli section and cheese counter for some bite-sized finger foods or delicious dips. Grab some crackers and/or tortilla chips.
- Perhaps the most simple party food idea is a block of cheese, slices of salami or summer sausage, crackers, and some olives. A super simple charcuterie board can be assembled in just a minute.
- Another super simple combo is chips + salsa. Purchase a few different varieties of salsa including both mild and hot.
- Check out the frozen foods section of the grocery store. Pick up some jalapeno poppers, mozzarella sticks, French fries, tater tots, buffalo wings, garlic bread, frozen pizza, etc.
- Consider asking your guests to pick up something ready-made from the grocery store or some ready-to-eat small bites.
- If all else fails, order pizza or delivery.
