30-Second Appetizers

Got 30 seconds or so? Then you can create some party-ready appetizers to feed a crowd.

These recipes – if you can even call them that – are ideal for parties.

Why? If you’re anything like me, the hours before a party are hectic. You don’t need a menu filled with complex, time-consuming appetizers. You need fast.

So here they are. Super simple appetizer recipes that are lightening fast to make.

1: Crab Salad and Avocado On Crackers

Buy a pint of crab or seafood salad at the grocery store deli. Place a couple of tablespoons on a cracker and top with a slice of avocado.

2: Tomato, Mozzarella, and Olive Spears

Place a grape tomato, fresh mozzarella, and olive on a toothpick and serve.

3: Cream Cheese With Pepper Jelly

Top a block of room temperature cream cheese with pepper jelly. Serve with crackers or pretzels.

4: Cucumber Slices With Hummus

Cut an English cucumber into 1/2-inch coins. Top each coin with a dollop of hummus.

Alternatively, top English cucumber slices with cream cheese and smoked salmon.

5: Goat Cheese Logs

Purchase a goat cheese log. Top with dried cranberries, walnuts, and a drizzle of honey. Serve with crackers.

6: Bread And Olive Oil

Slice a loaf of crusty bread. Serve with:

  • Olive oil topped with a spice blend
  • Olive oil topped with balsamic vinegar

7: Caprese Bites

On a toothpick or small wooden skewer, place one small fresh mozzarella ball (bocconcini), one grape tomato, and one fresh basil leaf. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar.

A simple charcuterie plate takes just a few minutes to assemble. To keep costs low, include:

  • One cured meat
  • One cheese
  • Almonds
  • Olives
  • Crackers and/or crostini

    I love to have people over and appetizers are a must! Even after dinner everyone loves to sneak a few more snack bites throughout the party. These looks so yummy! I’ll be sure to try them.
